Birthday and Mother's Day

May is always such a wonderful month for me. My birthday is May 6th and Mother's Day falls shortly there after. I am pampered for about a week in a row. This year was no different. Chad let me sleep in on my birthday which is all the present I really needed. I was then greeted by my girls and my wonderful husband with breakfast in bed. There really isn't any better way to start the day. My mom was in town which again was a wonderful present in itself. She is always such a great help with the girls and it was wonderful to have her with us on my special day.

The day was perfect. A little shopping with my Mother, my girls and my best friend Erin followed by a wonderful lunch. My Mom babysat for the girls so Chad and I could have a night out. We had an amazing dinner and drinks with friends. It was an amazing day! My Father came down on Thursday and we had a family birthday celebration that evening. Cake and presents and an amazing dinner....I had two birthday celebrations. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family who treats me so well.

The weekend came and there were many activities planned. My friend Sarah came in town from California and it was amazing to see her. We threw a baby shower for Erin on Saturday. Erin looked beautiful and we all had so much fun. We were so happy we were able to throw her a baby shower for Baby Stella on the way. We all can't wait to meet her!

Sunday was Mother's day and Chad let me sleep in again. Wonderful husband! Now sleeping in these days is a little different than the past....or pre-children, but an eight o'clock wake up time is WONDERFUL! The whole family got together for brunch to celebrate all the wonderful Mother's. Aunt Jane, Uncle Hank, Christin, Sam, Hannah and Jacob, Mom and Dad, Chad, Morgan and Hattie, Sarah and I. We had a full table of wonderful Mother's.

Unfortunately, all of our family does not live close by. The only thing that would have made the celebrations better is if the rest of my family could have been there too. But, with phone calls, cards and skype I was able to visit with everyone.

Thank you to my amazing family for giving me such a wonderful birthday and Mother's Day. I truly feel loved by all of you!
