Movie night

It has been way too long since my last post. So much has happened and I have a lot to update. More to come on that later (Thanksgiving, Christmas...etc.) But, I wanted to get started again on something...writing down the little moments. Sometimes so much happens during this part of the year that I get overwhelmed and don't have a chance to get it all down, but I need to focus on just writing down what is going on so I don't forget, even if it is just a quick little note.

Anyways, on Sunday night we took the girls to see The Prince and the Frog. It was Hattie's first movie and we were a little nervous about how she would do. We even took two cars just in case she wasn't into it. But, to our surprise both girls did great. The whole thing was a success. Morgan loved the movie and sat through the whole thing. Hattie did great, sat for most of it, then in the end she got a little antsy and wanted to get down. She played for a bit and had fun getting up and down from the chairs. But, all in all it was a wonderful time.

The movie theater by our house has table service which is great because you push a button and a server comes to your seat and takes your order. We started off of course with some popcorn which Hattie LOVED. Chad and I split some slider hamburgers and french fries. Morgan then wanted some ice cream (vanilla) and then we finished up with some Reece's pieces. Very healthy, but so much fun. The girls were smiling, dancing in their seats, and at one point Morgan and Hattie were holding hands.

Chad and I were looking at each other during the movie thinking how much fun this was. An outing with our girls. It was a foreshadowing for us as we thought about all the fun activities we will get to do with our girls...Disney world, sea world, movies, shows..etc. As we are loosing our babies it is fun to see them grow up and appreciate all the fun activities there is to do as children. It is going to be so much fun taking them to all the wonderful events in the future and seeing their little faces light up. Disney of course made the movie and the castle was at the beginning of the movie...we asked Morgan if she wanted to go there some day and her face lite up so big...."and meet all the princesses?" There is so much out there in this world for our girls to discover and I am so happy that Chad and I get to be there to help them explore it.

Even though it was a small event of going to the movies on a lazy Sunday afternoon, it was so much more to Chad and I. Something I know the both of us will always remember. The smiles on both the girls faces are imprinted in our memories.
